When you think you might have a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or be unexpectedly pregnant, it’s possible that you only want to tell the people in your life who you trust the most; when you’re ready and on your own terms. You may not desire to share the news at all, and that’s ok, too, because it’s only yours to share.
Although an STI or unexpected pregnancy is nothing to be ashamed of, at Willowbrook, we understand the importance of keeping your medical information confidential. You can visit our health clinic with the assurance that your privacy will be protected. The only people who will know you came to our clinic are those who you choose to tell.
Even if you’re a minor (under the age of 18), you can get the services you need confidentially. Though Missouri law requires that parents of minors to give consent and accompany their minor child for an abortion, Willowbrook is not lawfully mandated to notify your parents when you have an appointment at our center. That means you will receive the pre-abortion screening services you deserve without having to worry that your parents will find out before you’re ready to tell them. These services include lab-grade pregnancy testing, ultrasound to determine viability, STI testing, and education about your options. If you need a buffer and want help telling your parents about your pregnancy, we can help you with that too.
Lastly, the services you receive at Willowbrook will never be submitted to an insurance company. We don’t even ask you for insurance information because we offer our services to you at no cost.
