Willowbrook Women's Center's highly trained and experienced medical staff offers free, confidential, limited pregnancy ultrasounds in St Joseph MO

Our highly trained and experienced medical staff will be glad to provide you with a free, confidential, limited ultrasound. You will then be provided accurate information on your pregnancy, as well as the information and referrals you need.

What is an ultrasound?

An ultrasound is a simple and painless procedure that uses sound waves to create a picture of your pregnancy. An ultrasound will tell you if your pregnancy is viable by determining if there is a heartbeat and if the pregnancy is located in the uterus. An ultrasound will also tell you how far along you are.  This information may determine what options are available to you.

How far along are you?

With a limited ultrasound, the gestational sac can be seen as early as 4 1/2 weeks. The tiny embryo can be observed and measured by 5 1/2 weeks, which is also the point we can begin to tell if the pregnancy is viable and able to continue on its natural course. Using measurement, we can usually estimate how many weeks old your pregnancy is.

Will I Have A Natural Miscarriage?

If you are pregnant and considering abortion, you may not need one. It is estimated approximately ten to fifteen percent of women miscarry after a woman knows she is pregnant.1  A limited ultrasound will help determine if your pregnancy is viable or at risk for a natural miscarriage, making an abortion unnecessary.

At the Willowbrook Women's Center, we value your health and want to help you through your next decisions.  We know that having a limited ultrasound after a positive pregnancy test will help you to gain the information you need in order to make an informed decision about your pregnancy.  Make an appointment to talk with someone in our center today.
